Chris Evans
Chris Evans hosted the BBC 1 Breakfast radio show from 1992-1997. He was removed from his role due to sexist and inappropriate comments.

Chris Moyles
Chris Moyles hosted the BBC 1 Breakfast radio show for 8 years and 253 days, from 2004-2012. He was replaced by Nick Grimshaw. He has a maverick bad boy hosting style, with several controversies occurring revolving around him. He was embroiled with sexism and homophobia accusations.

Nick Grimshaw
Nick Grimshaw hosted the BBC 1 Breakfast radio show for 14 years, leaving in 2021, as he became too old and was no longer part of the target demographic. He focuses on his personal taste. He saw a decline in listeners by 2018. While this decline in viewers was large, it had no effect as the extra viewers were not needed, due to it being a PSB and not funded by ads.
The BBC need to inform, educate and entertain, while also maintaining relevancy. 43% of all UK radio stations are owned by the BBC.
He had previously hosted a BBC 1 radio show called 'Switch', a programme aimed at teens.
Greg James
Greg James has previous experience on the 4-7pm drivetime slot which was popular with listeners. He also had the youth following from the BBC 1 radio show called 'Switch', the same programme which Nick Grimshaw hosted. He has a hosting style revolving around relatability, and includes the audience in his show.
He is less egotistical, and down to earth. On top of this, he is family friendly.
